You really need to use Epsom Salts , not Sea Salt . The SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) is used to clear the intestines, Epsom Salts are to relax the bile ducts. They are different chemical compounds. Epsom Salts are Magnesium Sulfate, not Sodium Chloride. Some people use Magnesium Citrate instead. That form of Mg is more readily metabolized by people with low stomach acid.
Magnesium is used in just about every phase of the detox pathway and is essential for production of over 300 enzymes used in a variety of metabolic pathways. 2.5 grams of Epsom Salts provide the minimum amount of Magnesium one needs per day. 15 grams produces a laxitive effect. One cannot overdose on Mg, as it simply washes out of the body.
Magnesium relaxes smooth muscles. It can lower blood pressure by dilating the arteries and veins. The same action opens the bile ducts, to permit stones to leave the liver.
Sulfate is an important substance as well, needed by brain tissue, joint proteins and the mucin proteins that line the walls of the digestive tract. Sulfates also stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes and are believed to help detoxify the body's residue of medicines and environmental contaminants.
