As my former posts states, I have been suffering the effects of Candida for most of my life and am now in the middle of an aggressive war against this monster inside of me with a very strict diet, immune boosters and all natural anti-fungal agents plus probiotics.
I added diatomaceous earth (DE) to my arsenal recently and have had some favorable results thus far.
I also noticed that my pH was rather acidic and began a supergreen powder/alkaline rich veggie shake regimen to get me into the 7 range and have had a rough time there for my urine pH is hard to get above a 6.5 no matter what I do.
My problem is that while scouring the interwebs for information on this subject, I notice a TON of sites touting that an alkaline system is actually HELPING the beasties which makes no logical sense for 99% percent of all anti-fungal herbs and vegetables are all #'s 1 and 2 on the highest alkaline chart!
In fact all of the allowed foods allowed on the Whole Approach "OK" foods list are alkaline with the exception of the organic meats and oils.
And on top of that, when I am feeling my absolute worst, my urine pH is very low at 5.5/6.5 and when I am feeling my absolute best, my pH is perfect at just above 7.
So what gives?
Am I going the wrong direction with my attack or are there some very misinformed people out there?
