You can also make water kefir - that's what I have been doing. It supposed to be a really powerful probiotic, but its also a bit acidic for me and I have to be careful about GERD or a little burning in my esophagus from it.
For the low financial and time investment, I'd recommend it. Water kefir tastes good if you add a little juice.
