Yeast grows into an acidic environment. So we have candida because our body is too acidic. Heavy metal contamination (chemical fertilizers), pollution, fast food, meat makes your body more acidic. Candida also puts a lot of pressure on the liver (cleansing the blood of the yeast can be demanding on the liver) and often causes low acid in the stomach, which in turns causes undigested food to get to your intestines - feeding the yeast. SO yes overall you want to lower the acidity of your body while keeping the stomach acid high.
I have never used HCL. I prefer to use natural enzymes Papain - Bromelain- I dont like chemicals.
I cant help you much with specifics. Yet, an acidic stomach will make your stomach more acid - to kill bacteria and better digest food. There is one part of the body which should keep have a higher acidic level: your stomach.
