Iodine dislodged and caused me to pass an old kidney stone when I first took it in 2008.
I know it was old and had been there for a while because I passed a lot of black stuff which the doctor told me was old blood. He said the kidney stone had probably been there for a while.
Doesn't Iodine cause changes to the urine pH? I bet it dissolves certain kidney stones by adjusting the pH of the urine. Sort of like citrate does.
