When making herbal formulas, like when a recipe calls for 1 part this, 2 parts that, 6 parts another... what does this mean in the real world?

fractional math

call it ounces, pounds of volume--it is all the same THING---

Are these by volume or weight?
same, which every you decide
I use pounds as my smallest mathematical measurement for such things.

And when you mix the herbs together, how much does one have to mix them and how does one know when it is blended enough so it wil give the same ratios in each capsule?
you are dealing with powders
'

HOPEFULLY you are using very safe herbs and therefor it does not matter.
Put in a plastic bag and shake or in a blender of your choice....it all depends on how picky you are or are not

I cant find any info and or video on this extremely important step when making herbal formulas from scratch..

you are making powders-----I use a large paddle blender, but a bag will do just fine---i assume your making your own capsules by hand, so it is no big deal.

I have Dr. Christopher's LBB formula but I have no idea how to make it

Can you please give an example?

put all your herbal powders in a bag and give a good shake
