Sunitinib is a receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor and chemotherapeutic agent used for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, and imatinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). The sunitinib 50 mg capsule should be taken by mouth. It may be administered either with or without food. Grapefruit juice should be avoided. The appropriate dose of Sunitinib will depend on several factors, including general health or other health problems, and the type of cancer or condition you have. Your doctor will specify your exact dose and schedule.
