Thanks for your information, as well. I, too, could write a book on failed remedies. It is very frustrating, so I had to go back on Valtrex. Before I went back, about 2 months ago, I was experiencing an outbreak a week, on average, as well. Now that I'm back on Valtrex...I have NO outbreaks. Guess I'll just stay on suppressive therapy a while--it's a whole lot cheaper & definitely has been much more successful for me. I'm sorry you're experiencing the darker side of HSV2, but it's comforting to know there are others out there having the same experiences as I have been.
