Hi - wondering what the deal usually is when you have a crown (in my case, entirely ceramic) and have some hot/cold and pressure sensitivity on that tooth even though the nerve's supposed to be dead and there is supposed to be no feeling, and otherwise the dentist says there's no apparent reason for it?

(Says can come in or might try Sensodyne toothpaste a few days, which usually does the trick for him for like 6 months.)

(Don't want at this time to get into whether it's a good or bad idea to have a crown... just what the deal with this particular situation may be - thanks.)
