What the articles are saying is that the reason it may work is because of the preservatives added to the GSE.

GSE on its own has no antimicrobial function. These are articles published in scientific journals that anyone can freely look up.

But as I said before if it works for you, then go for it. But you may get the same results simply by taking preservatives .
