The BPs have NEVER been part of the MC and can actually hurt the cleansing power of the MC more than help, Specifically more so if they are not done 1 hr before or after drinking the lemonade and in addition drinking a lots of extra water. Doing the BPs while doing the MC basically turns the MC into a colon cleanse. Read the link below from the FAQs regarding the BPs on the MC

Besides dimishing the cleansing effect of the MC 10 days is just the Minimum I have never heard of anyone getting a clear tongue in under 3 weeks and many of us vets of 40 day MCs quite often don't get the clear tongue at all.  I've done 5 40 dayers. Personally I don't pay attention to the tongue other than to scrape it when it gets thick and pasty.

If you expect to get the full benefits from the MC drop the BPs and do them later when eating regular.
