Over and over mass actions have proven to be ineffective. Policies are going to change. Maybe Codex will become policy, but the reality is that people will continue to find and obtain the things they need. Look at the War on Drugs.
The trick is to ignore them. Roll with reality and focus on obtaining what you need. So you can't buy selenium from the store. We should be learning to live without manufacturers of minerals and supplements anyway.
We couldn't stop the war (any war) and we can't stop the "big boys" from changing policy. What we can do is adapt.
