I believe doing cleanses anytime is better than not doing them at all because you are helping your body to lessen its toxic load. But ultimately, you have to attend to your teeth and gums before you can achieve overall good health. The mercury Amalgam is toxic and many degenerative diseases are attributed to it. Do research on the internet and learn more. The root canals can also be causes of a lot of chronic diseases as well, according to the focal infection theory. In short, root canal procedures can trap many bacteria in your dentin tubules which can then metastasize to other parts of the body to cause havoc on other organs and tissues. Because root canal procedures cuts off the blood supply to the pulp and dentin, even Antibiotics can't reach these bacteria in the tubules. There they can become anaerobic (which means they don't need oxygen to live) and become toxin-producing. There is an excellent book on the subject by a dentist who was a founder of the Association of root canal Specialists, Dr. George Meinig. You may be able to get the book at Amazon.com or you can buy from Bion Publishing, P. O. Box 10, Ojai, CA 93024 (Fax 805-646-1506). The name of the book is 'Root Canal cover-up'. Happy flushing.
