I am just telling the truth from my experience. I have lived with EC for years. The leaving lips alone thing is nothing new. I have tried it countless times, but I still have EC. And my EC is not as severe as other cases. Although you say your lips are improved, they are not 100% healed yet. So, you can’t really say it will 100% heal your lips until you see it happen. I hope it happens for you. I am not trying to give up people’s hope, but I tried this before. I am not saying it will not improve your lips. I am just saying I don’t know if it will completely heal them. Don’t give up, though.

You either have to stay on a strict diet, take certain supplements on a daily basis, detoxify, or take some type of action to manage this. You can do nothing or leave your lips alone, but that will not make it completely go away for most people with this condition.   [End]

My advice is to send a case description to the email address listed. Look at how the other case descriptions are written on the site (i.e. 22-year-old female with ....) They might assume you a dentist. I am not sure if you receive email replies when someone replies to your post. I think my condition started from too much junk food or medication that compromised something. I think people pick their lips because there is dry skin hanging off from EC. If they had smooth, normal lips then there would be nothing to pick at.   [End]

I never apply moisturizer on my skin. Dermatologists always suggest to apply moisturizer on your wet skin after a shower. If skin is supposed to make more oil if you do not apply moisturizer, then why is my skin so dry? Or my body is not making more moisture without moisturizer. So, why would lips make more moisture if you do not apply moisturizer? Should I at least apply moisturizer on my body to relieve the dryness or will it get more dry?   [End]

I think you would continue with the process and a smaller scab would replace the torn off scab. I don’t understand why cuts in the mouth can heal just fine although they are constantly moist from saliva. Also, scratches on the eye can heal fast with tears on the eyes.   [End]

Wow, I wish my lips could heal in a week. I have left them alone way more than a week. Although I purposely did not shower for a week, I still brushed my teeth with water. Did you brush your teeth? Do you still avoid water on your lips after 6 months? I might have a different cause of EC since I also get white gunk of my tongue that probably gets on my lips. I am not sure if your EC is due more to trauma to lips.   [End]
