Once ground, flax doesn’t keep well. Glad you’ve got the bag in the fridge, but better to seal it in a jar and keep it in the freezer. If the flax tastes bitter, throw it out. I have a coffee grinder that I use for my flax. The whole seeds keep much better than ground.
Do look for chia seeds. Chia gel is weird but nice, especially in the heat. Both are terrific for cleaning and toning the digestive tract.
