When she was starving herself, I was using an eyedropper to feed her some broth. Hi, you said you tried vinegar - do you mean Bragg’s natural apple cider vinegar, with the ”mother” (sediment) in it? Are you drinking it? It takes at least a month for the smell to go away. It also helps to take probiotics, refrigerated type, from a health store. In the meantime, you can use something vaginally to control the smell - one of the suggestions from the other poster, or you can use Replens or RepHresh moisturizers, which lowers the pH. Much information gets passed around concerning BV and CV (which is a bacterial overgrowth, with symptoms similar to a yeast infection, related to the ammonia smell, cured with baking soda). Hi, I’ve been reading a forum for bacterial vaginitis at Yahoo. One other thing that can happen, with this vicious cycle of candida/BV, etc. is an overgrowth of lactobacillus (called cytolytic vaginitis), which would cause itching, possibly burning and no odor, especially if you’ve been taking a lot of probiotics with the candida. If you find out you have the lacto overgrowth, it can be cured by douching with a little baking soda, two times per week, or for 7 days. Here’s something that’s been working for me. I’ve been using Replens long-lasting vaginal moisturizer. It’s the sodium hydroxide that changes the pH. The polycarbophil is a gel which holds it in there. RepHresh is a new product made by the same company for BV, but I like the Replens better. Hi, You could try the deodorant stones, or the spray or roll-on versions of them. It’s just mineral salts, which is supposed to kill the bacteria, not cover up. A friend recommended it. Hi nonameface, I would recommend you get an over-the-counter pregnancy test, even a generic brand; they’re pretty accurate. Any time you have sex, it’s possible to get pregnant. As far as I know, if you’re normally regular, and you’re young, you should have your period at the normal time. But, just for your peace of mind, I’d take the test, if I were you. Hi: I was looking for something else and ended up here, and read some of your stories. I just got rid of my bacterial vaginosis with olive leaf extract. It only took 7 days, 3 capsules a day. Hi: Since it is a fishy smell, it is more likely bacterial vaginosis than yeast. If it is yeast, it would probably itch, and be swollen. Hopefully, it is not an STD, but if it is, from what I have read, the only one that has a fishy smell is trichomoniasis, and that is not a constant fishy odor. When you got your pill, did you get a gynecological exam? BV (bacterial vaginosis) can be passed on by doctor’s equipment, if it is not clean, as fresh discharge can be contagious. Or as DawnWine says, through an imbalance of hormones, or a pH imbalance. It would probably have to be cured ...

I found a hospital-strength bottle at Sav-on Pharmacy, 10%. I’m using it full strength, as the girl here recommended, rather than mixing it as a douche. Hi nancy! I was on birth control for a number of years also. The main differences I saw when I stopped were that my periods began to get longer, more normal. They were shorter than usual with the birth control pills. And yes, I became moodier. But I began to eat tofu and that helped with the mood issue. From what I have read, the tofu does have plant estrogens, but it counteracts extra estrogen, and helps produce progesterone, balancing out everything.
