I have experience of your point 1)liver cancer (technically bowel cancer) but not 2)liver cleansing in the event of liver cancer.
My younger brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer in March 2002; he was already in pain. At that stage it had spread to his liver. The pathology result sheet described his liver as being ”riddled” with lesions. It was inoperable. If Jan has only a single mass in her liver then I guess there may be a chance for her to have surgery as part of her treatment.

I have. After a couple of days the P&B irritated something to the point where I had blood in mucous (not hemmie blood) - never had this before, and it went away as I stopped taking the P&B immediately. I just tried for #28 but didn’t get much of a result because I couldn’t swallow very much of the oil and juice mixture at all, I knew I was going to throw up if I took any more. I am at the stage now where I start feeling nauseated at the thought of having to swallow it. I can’t even eat salad with olive oil and lemon juice on it. I know I need to keep flushing - am getting that annoying little pressure under the right ribcage after the evening meal. Do you have any tips for me on how to get the mixture down, how do you do it?

Sorry I can’t help you with your levels - I don’t have a copy of mine to compare. I’m in Victoria and am taking a t3/t4 combo from a doctor in Melbourne. I also get DHEA and natural progesterone prescribed by him. If you’re in Vic I can give you his name or failing that I suggest you could e-mail the Women’s Health Advisory Service in Sydney and ask if they could recommend you a doctor in your state. I know how you feel. I have had lower right side abdominal pain for many months too and I have no fever or vomiting. I feel like I have pressure there if I sit with my legs crossed. I have had 2 ultrasounds with different doctors. As I have had surgery in the past for removal of an ovarian cyst and part of the right ovary, one doctor said my pain was probably due to surgical adhesions and if so there is nothing I could do about it. I’m thrilled with Threelac so far. I’ve just started on my third can and it has stopped my diarrhea and substantially reduced my terrible gassiness. It has helped me where many other probiotics didn’t seem to make much difference.
The only thing I wonder about is when to cut down or get off it. I have been able to kick the caffiene habit but I am still having terrible trouble with sugar cravings. I have done 20 flushes and never taken the ornithine. Only on one or two occasions have I had an interrupted night’s sleep and that could have been due to anything eg. peri-menopausal symptoms. I always use extra-virgin cold pressed olive oil from the supermarket. The only time I tried anything else - a ”light” variety - I threw up the next morning. I certainly wouldn’t contemplate having the surgery myself. I hang out on an Irritable Bowel Syndrome discussion board. You would be amazed how many people there have had their gallbladders removed and lo and behold, that was when their chronic diarrhea and irritable bowel problems started, although many of them seem to fail to make the connection. Having unregulated quantities of bile dumped straight into the intestines, rather than progressive release through the gallbladder must be very irritating. You end up on medication for the rest of your life.

Just to give a more complete history: I have been using natural Progesterone cream for the last six months, due to perimenopausal symptoms - these started when my brother was dying. My estrogen and progesterone levels showed up on blood tests as being very low. I have been taking T3, T4, DHEA and hydrocortisone for the last 8 weeks. Tests showed I am hypothyroid and my adrenal hormones were also very low.

I am interested to know if anyone has had this experience. I am taking natural T3 and T4 for a moderately underactive thyroid (equivalent to half a grain). I started taking this 4 weeks ago. I also take DHEA and cortisone, as well as Progesterone cream, all from the same doctor, who specialises in bio-identical hormones. I have found that my number of daily bowel movements has increased to an average of 4. I didn’t really keep count before, but I know it was less than 4. Anyway, I bought an Australian book recently called ”Happiness is a Regular Complete Bowel Motion!” Amazing what you can find at the bookstore!
