Hello, thank you for your input. I do not think I have a tilted Uterus. I never had kids, just inherited a stepson when he was five. LOL I had the Mirena in for exactly five years. When I went for my yearly two years ago, the string was still present. This year it was not. My gyno said that it does not mean the IUD was still there when the string was present so I do not know how long it has been in the abdomen. I have the lapro scheduled for October 11th. I will keep you posted on how it went. If they have to do an incision I will have to stay in the hospital overnight. MadAt ...

I have had the Mirena for five years. When I went in to have it out, the string was not present. Had to get an ultra sound and nothing. Then an xray which showed it had gone into the abdomen. I have to have surgery to get it removed. What cost me $100.00 to get in will cost me close or more than $3,000 out of pocket to get out. Has anybody had this problem? I would like to sue just of for the cost of the removal.   [End]
