Hi, I have read some posts on here and research. I have very severe ocd and want to try some supplements. I have low vitamin d (found on blood tests). So I was thinking to try this, what do you think: 10,000iu for vitamin D for 3 months then going to 2000iu a month Inositol: 18 grams a day Vitamin k2 – not sure how much? Chelated magnesium– not sure how much? (or another magnesium) Maybe b12, but maybe bring in later? a multivitamin - which brand? All help and info appreciated, and also any good brands. thanks elisagrace, you are very right as I have a very good UK dentist (holistic, good at mercury) and he detected that I had high levels of mercury in me. I have been working for a long time to detox (he has good vitamin c & other powders of his I take) How did you know teeth? Is all OCD linked to high levels of mercury?   [End]

I spoke to a hypnotherapist yesterday who is quite well known. He is not near to me & does alot of skype work & would see me via skype. I am looking for someone to help me with my OCD. Do you think that someone skype hypnotising you could work as well as face to face? I feel wary to pay alot of money for skype hypnotherapy rather than face to face (more than usual price of hypnotherapy). I have two zirconium fillings, they fill very good. I can recommend a guy in the UK who is my dentist. He is wonderful. Where are you? through reading I have realised that root canals can be awful, getting this cleaned and sorted could very much help. please make sure you go to the right person, you don’t want anyone making you worse.   [End]

Hi, I really prefer natural stuff, but for some reason I thought I would give SSRIs this a try. At the beginning of this year I was prescribed 50mg of sertraline by my doctor and had an awful reaction within two days of taking it. I took it in the evening and the first night the back of my brain felt abit tingly, then the second night I woke up, had pins & needles going up & down my body, my heart was racing, I was so hot - I had to stand outside in the freezing winter to cool down . So what would you do if at that point you had a feeling of contamination on your hands & all you wanted to do was wash them, not touch your hands with your forehead & body? Thanks steve 888- I will give 5HTP a shot after I have tried the supplements I am on atm. I am trying to keep it simple for the moment. I hadn’t really heard of EFT until I came onto this forum. (I mainly always got recommended CBT) My problem is that I feel as if I am emotionally ok and accept myself, but my contamination gets in the way of my life, so would EFT help? And I have looked at some EFT info but is there anything that anyone recommends? Unfortunately my ocd is so dehabilating that I will give anything a shot, but I think I need something more than that. ujkl - I like to think that once my gut is cleaned, my emotions and memories would go away, but my OCD is so severe that I actually can’t imagine that (I haven’t had a ’normal day’ in years).
