Hi, I have had normal insomnia for the better part of 10 years, meaning i only have it when i have alot on my mind or alot of stress going on. But for the past 3 weeks it is something else entirely. I get stuck in the state right before sleep where i’m really drowsy and tired, but not asleep yet. I slept a total of 10 hours in 4 days before i finally went to the doctor. I’m drinking tons of water. And towards the end of the night I am taking a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar. I’m still going at night, not as much though as in the afternoon. Hi, I started oxypowder this saturday. i am taking the dosaage on the packaging (4 capsules) and it is working very well. I am eating all organic foods and drinking plenty of water. But I am EXTREMELY tired and having headaches. So tired that I don’t even know if i can go to work today. At points it’s too much effort to take my dog outside (i feel so bad). i used to oil pull in the evening when i got home from work (for second time that day). I don’t know about effectiveness, but i know that some people op 2-3 times a day. And those can’t all be first thing in the morning. I would be wary of doing it right before bed however, because some people have reported having trouble sleeping. Try a bit early than that.   [End]

i have major sinus problems as well, had sinus surgery last year. I started oil pulling and stopped the dairy at the same time. My sinus’s have been pretty great since then (about a month, maybe a little bit more). But one day at work we had pizza for a treat with lots of cheese and i indulged. Next day had a really bad sinus headache that took about 2-3 days to clear up. I would say your sinus’s are trying to rid themselves of the mucas you built back up into them. I don’t think oping can do that alone with a poor diet if you are prone to sinusitus. Are you irrigating your sinus’s? ...

ah wierd i had hairloss for a long time too. Finally figured out it was a hormonal imbalance brought on by my birth control pill. After i went off of it the hairloss stopped but when i started oping the hair fallout came back. Yes I am actually going to do a colon cleanse myself, which you may think about doing since you are having a longer detox. (or maybe the rebounding!) I am doing an herbal pill one that lasts for 7 days that i read about on the colon cleanse forum called oxy-powder, but there are many out there. i would say that everyone’s ”detox” is different. And it depends on how bad your acne was to begin with. I had almost no acne in the first place but had some breakouts after i started which has now cleared up about 4 weeks later (they were sporadic). I never had sore throat or anything else besides a little fatigue and a couple mouth sores. But others have had your detox symptoms. my sinusitis and headaches got better within hours of oil pulling but as far as detox goes i had: pimples lethargy slight cold sore (lasted maybe 2-3 days and was relatively minor) hair falling out it seems to me that oping also makes toxins maybe just under the surface of your skin come to the surface (i.e. pimples), but that’s just a guess from what i experienced.   [End]

Well i have a thryoid condition but it’s just a lump on my thyroid. Not hypo or hyper. It’s tested every 6 months and has been regulating itself for over 10 years now. So i don’t think it’s that. I am pretty positive that the cause of my initial hairloss was hormonal brought on by birth control pills. Especially since when i stopped them, the hairloss stopped almost completely. My hope now is that this new hairloss will subside when whatever toxins that are in my scalp/hairshaft/roots, are finally gone from the oil pulling. I was wondering what affects oil pulling has had on your hair? I have had problems with my hair falling out for the past 5 years or so. The doctors finally found out that it was a hormonal problem brought on by the birth control pill which i am now off. But they also put me on Rogaine 5% which is extremely hard to get off of without your hair falling all out again. I know this is kind of gross, but this has happened to me at least 5 or 6 times, and i’ve only been oil pulling for 7 days. Especially my first pull of the day. I will be pulling for about 5 minutes and I will have to go very quickly. This usually happens to me with coffee too. It’s not a bad thing, in fact it’s great to feel cleaned out first thing in the morning. I’ve been oil pulling two times a day for almost a week, and the best of it has been my sinus headaches/migraines have almost dissappeared. My gums bled a little bit as well and i did get a bit of a break out too. still clearing up. I haven’t gotten the energy thing yet, actually i’m feeling quite sluggish on day 5-6, i’m hoping that will clear out though. I have a friend from england where they don’t put flouride in the water and she always said the reason she has such messed up teeth was because of that, but she was saying in jest. I drank beer all day at a baseball game which tends to lead to a migraine (at which point today i would take a migraine pill to alleviate it). Hi, i’m new to this, and am a little confused after reading some of these posts. I read about how to pull on oilpulling.com. It said to use cold pressed or refined oils. Then someone posted that cold pressed or expeller pressed were unrefined oils. That is contradictory and makes no sense to me if they said to use one or the other, can someone explain that to me? I pulled for the first time yesterday with Expeller pressed Sunflower oil. The guy at the health food store said expeller pressed was the same as cold pressed. My mouth does feel really clean and breath seems really fresh. But what i noticed mostly was everything seemed to taste really strong. His analogies are interesting and may very well be true. However I never go 100% on what doctors tell me especially if there is evidence (i.e. people testifying otherwise) to the contrary. I have been misdiagnosed by doctors a thousand times. I can’t tell how many times a doctor has told me, ”that’s not possible” when i tell them what’s going on with me.
