Well we talked about the hormone thing, but since I have had it in place for so long they just kind of poo pooed it. I started looking into it myself and have come to the conclusion that it’s got to be the problem. I have an appt with my Gyn May 5th and I am seriously considering getting it removed. I have had the Mirena IUD in place for about 3 years. I’ve recently been experiencing migraines with aura. No one seems to think they are hormone related, but after reading about Mirena side effects, I’m starting to think differently. It has also been impossible for me to lose any weight since I’ve had it in. I’ve seen the neurologist and he wants me to have an MRA/MRI with contrast tomorrow. I’m thinking about just cancelling these tests and call my GYN to just get the Mirena removed and see if headaches improve on their own. My husband has a vasectomy so I have the Mirena because I ...
