I am so sorry to hear of your extensive hair loss. I can definately sympathize. It did the same thing to me. I was losing handfulls daily. I don’t know if it will work, but it’s worth a shot. Check at your local hair salons for a shampoo and conditioner called Nioxin. It promotes hair growth and has an awesome tingly menthol that really leads you to believe it’s working. I used to use it just for the scent, but I had to quit. It was making my already thick hair even thicker. Now that I have had the Mirena removed, my hair loss has subsided. Good luck!!!   [End]

I believe it can 100% make you feel pregnant. It didn’t happen for me until about 5 months after insertion. I didn’t even realize what was happening at first. I got my period two days after it was removed - it was just about time for it anyway. It was very heavy with a lot of clots. It lasted five days and was over. It’s a month later and I have had all the signs of PMS this week. I started my period yesterday and now it’s gone. I did, however, start back on birth control right after removal. That may have something to do with it. I feel so much better since it’s been removed! Everything is finally back to normal, except for the weight gain. I still have the ”beer gut” syndrome. I had mine out on Friday and knew I was due to start a period soon. I started on Sunday with a pretty normal period, but by Tuesday was bleeding pretty heavy with quite a few clots. By Thursday night I was done and have had no further bleeding since. The cramps were no worse than they were in the good old days during a normal period. I have never had children and had mine inserted in August 2006. I was bleeding for 6 1/2 weeks with gut wrenching pain for 2 months. I returned to my Dr. to make sure the placement was correct and had an internal ultrasound (pretty grose) to check it too. All was normal. How much did it hurt when you had it put in? After nine months of misery, I had mine removed on April 27th. I walked into the office and my Dr. said ”you want it out, don’t you?” I said ”yes” and she didn’t hesitate for a second.
