Yeah, looks like the same stuff I’ve produced for years. Although when I had it analysed by electron microscope at a hospital they just said it was mucus. They did see some yeast cells, but not like a massive colony of candida in a biofilm matrix. I still believe it is a byproduct of the candida in its fungal form. Thanks Stilljillofark, I just need a Dr to take me seriously enough to do the right tests. I saw an immunologist in 2007 and she did a lot of different blood tests which showed my T cell and NK cell counts but I dont think these blood tests alone show how the immune system is actually functioning/responding. My salivary IgA in 2009 was off the scale. So looks like I am responding in some way to the infection in my gut, but the Drs here see the sIgA test as insignificant. I have no idea why. Actually you’re both misinformed. Candida can live in both an acidic and alkaline environment in it’s planktonic form but can only exist in it’s fungal form if it is no longer inhibited by acid forming (lactic acid) bacteria. These are the types that are commonly found in probiotics. If these bacteria are no longer present the candida creates an alkaline envrironment by producing ammonia which provides the all clear to become fungal. Your comment doesn’t make sense Anthony. If someone was wanting to lose weight, how could they do it without going into caloric deficit? You have to restrict calories and may even need to exercise, depending on how overweight you were, to burn off the excess calories. Because there is no way every aspect/part of the body is supposed to have a pH above 7.0, and definitely not the entirety of the gastrointestinal tract, which is supposed to be predominantly acidic (although parts of it are alkaline). Aijian, i had some stuff analysed at a lab four times last year. Twice under a scanning electron microscope and twice under a regular mircoscope and there was no candida and no candida in a biofilm detected. The Dr said there were some yeast cells present, but not en masse. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. Thanks for the links. I have been using Pomegranate for about two years now and rate it highly. I think it may actually help strip the Candida biofilm. A decent brand is the Swanson one. No it doesn’t feed candida. It is produced by bacteria that ferment the apples whereby most of the sugar would be metabolised by the bacteria. The acetic acid kills candida and will in fact strip a candida biofilm. Make sure you take an organic unfiltered one with the original ”mother” still present. Interesting post, thanks. I just did a bit of reading and found an abstract that describes streptococcus biofilm dispersal when using 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid from royal jelly. Maybe it is effective against both candida and bacteria just as the CIS form is. Those herbs you mentioned are all good to take but you should also add a berberine formula. The best one I’ve found is Candibactin-BR by Metagenics. A study has shown that berberine works synergistically with fluconazole. I take 4 tablets at the same time as the fluconazole which is taken only once a day. I work in a large hospital and have read a lot of colonoscopy reports with photos included, and yes on rare occasions white candida colonies are visible to the naked eye in the large intestine. The gastroenterologists even confirm this in the body of the report and usually treat with fluconazole or nystatin. I also have read reports with candida visible in the oesophagus and these colonies look pretty much the same as those in the large intestine - a very stark white colour against the pink mucosa of the GI tract.
