This is threelittlechicks again; it’s been nearly 3 years since my first comment and I haven’t had an outbreak since then. I found a favorite shower gel and shampoo - Whole Foods 365 brand (but there are more SLS-free products out there now, as opposed to 3 years ago when California Baby seemed to be the only one around). I am eternally grateful to the person who originally wrote about SLS free products somewhere on this forum, b/c it really did clear up my pompholyx. It’s been a great three years, and I hope that my comments, too, can help overcome this horrible problem.   [End]

Thank you all for the recommendation of California Baby shampoo, which I found at Target. It is expensive, but I can’t believe how much better my hands are now. I’d like to say they are completely cured, but I’m afraid of jinxing it. After several years of living with itchy, oozing bubbles and horribly painful cracks and fissues, it’s nice to look down and see healthy skin again. I am going to try someone else’s suggestion of gloves when I shower, though, b/c after 6 weeks of using only CB shampoo, I am in desperate need of a good conditioning. But hey, 6 weeks isn’t bad!
