The refraction of light through a prism is the most striking illustration of this. Here, a beam of white light, which represents the 1, is broken up into seven colours. It is extraordinary to see how this single ray of white light produces the diversity of the seven colours—violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. What better than light to demonstrate the passage from unity to diversity, and from diversity to unity? ...
