For me, too much coconut will exacerbate die off
symptoms of headache, aching, general malaise.
If drinking water does not move things along, it
is best to cut back on your intake. It is all
about balance and it is a personal thing since
the anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, and many of
the other aspects of coconut oil benefits when
ingested do also carry the responsibility of
gauging the body's reaction and regulating the
dose appropriately. I like to suggest starting
with one teaspoon. Either add or subtract or
skip days to find the optimal dose for you.

As far as using it topically, in hair and on
skin, I have not experienced any die off but
have seen many benefits~~

You can take coconut oil both internally or externally. Those who are proponents
of this cure do both. The typical amount to take internally per day is 3 TBSP. It
is recommended that you take 1 TBS with every meal. Coconut Oil apparently gives
an instantaneous energy lift and may help you give up caffeine! Many sports nutrition
bars and drinks include coconut oil for its energizing properties.

Warning: Coconut Oil is contraindicated for those with hypertension / high blood

I hope this has helped. As the issues you are using
coconut oil to remedy begin to improve, you can use
more oil. I stay in the 3-6 tablespoon range myself,
although even dosing in teaspoons is very helpful.

If I have too much coconut oil, for days after I get die off symptoms..its terrible... and I remember why I should go slow with the coconut oil..I feel dizzy, light headed and its not until I pass a good BM a couple of days later that I feel good again

I had 6 tablespoons in a drink about 2 hours ago. I now feel like I need to throw up, I have the shakes, and just don't want to move. Should I be worried??
