There are a lot of things going on here that you are forgetting.
First of all a cut that bleeds hasn't lost hardly any skin, if I cut myself with a knife and it bleeds it takes around 3 weeks for it to COMPLETELY heal. Even if it's a major punch in the mouth, your lips still haven't lost much skin, it's just been broken open.
However, what we are doing it taking entire layers of our skin, off. This isn't some simple cut that the body has to heal, it literally has to regrow layers of skin that aren't there.
The reason it takes so long is because when the body is in "healing" mode every cell reproduces faster, this is what causes the extreme build up. Once you stop peeling them, the cells don't instantly stop their rapid rate of reproduction, it takes the body a long time to normalize those cells, and it all depends on how long you have been peeling them.
If it was really just a digestive disorder it would be showing up in more places than just your lips. It would be showing up in your digestive system, your urinary tract, your bowel movements, your immune system (since your disgestive system is the main part of your immune system). However countless people have been cleared from all these types of symptoms, myself included. There is not one single thing wrong with my digestive system, and there never has been.
I don't know how much more proof you need other than it IS getting better each time the scab comes off. Compared to it is getting worse each time I peeled my skin off before I started this.
But don't take my word for it, feel free to try it for yourself :)
