Edithow do I get the resin this pretty purple color?

looking around-- saw this link:

last one down is a pretty purple one... how do you get the resin to be a different color?

also-- why do I keep seeing aluminum shavings? I thought copper was the dominant choice.

nevermind-- after watching videos I see all sorts of metal shavings.
