It makes more sense to me that indigo would come from the Aura colour.

And violet isn't the same. Indigo is a dark mix of violet and blue. Violet is midway between red and blue. A bit similar but not the same. And just look it up on a colour chart.

Also have do you explain a person have all of the so called traits of an indigo? Not just a few, which anyone could have, but all of them.
