Re: rare disease diagnosed any info?
Neuromyelitis Optica
Anything that ends in "itis" just means - inflammation of.
Neuro, sounds like - a nerve connection
Optica would have something to do with eyes. (I think)
So to me - sounds like something a little swollen around the eye area and effecting a nerve
Doctors put names on certain conditions that sound like a big deal.
Thats their job.
So that you think that only the doctor can figure this out and would obviously be the only one that can fix it.
Of course if its considered rare, then wow, now were talking really big deal.
Rather than saying - "Seems you have a little swelling near the eye."
You told - "Your suffering from a rare disease known as Neuromyelitis Optica."
Usually the cure would be a drug that probably would do nothing except throw poisons into the body.
Areas of the body get swollen if there is something there that needs a little cleaning out like even a bacteria or something.
Lymph fluid fills the area and goes to work cleaning and repairing.
I would look into something that would kill off any possible pathogen like
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement .
