You did get a response on the bloodroot forum. Did you see that? Someone offered to put you in touch with an herbalist who could possibly help you.

It looks like there has not been much posted on this forum about possible problems with bloodroot. Your testimony will probably protect other people. You might also consider posting a photo.

You didn't say if you used a brand name product or what. If so, did you contact the manufacturer?
