Spray Deodorant Chem Burn at Privates

Hello,

I would like to know where to post my issue for assistance.

Several weeks ago, I ended a brief habit of spraying aerosol antiperspirant/deodorant onto my pubes, including the major hair area and the folds where the inner tops of my thighs meet my privates (vulva outer valley). I used this method for a couple of weeks, off and on, to reduce sweating and odor. I ended this practice because I began to feel irritation. Looking back, I can say "Of course".

I am in otherwise good general health and have never experienced a reaction from either sprays or stick products. In fact, I've used stick A/D's on my major pubes off and on for years with no apparent reaction.

Because I tend to heal quickly and have had few skin issues over the years, I believed I could relive my irritation quickly and without much incidence. This has not been the case, however. The areas began to worsen.

Descriiption:

Each fold has about 1 inch of skin on either side that is grayish/light (on normally very dark skin). The areas are about 2 inches wide and 2-4 inches in height. Only itchy at first, now the areas are both itchy and stingy (stinging burn) due to intermittent scratching. There are a few bumps, but that is my normal. Both areas look like a flat, shiny gray rash.

The areas started with itching and I noticed my skin peeling. I used an Antibiotic ointment for a couple of days in case of infection. I have now switched to a regimen of twice daily diluted white vinegar rinses and thick application of petroleum jelly (1 1/2 days into this altered regimen). The itching remains intermittent and I find it nearly impossible to not scratch, especially while half asleep.

I have plenty of Bragg's ACV, plain white vinegar, Ester C, plain Vit C, essential oils, b soda, various salts and various healing lotions (like Calamine) at the ready. Can I use any of these to help hasten the healing process? I am prepared to visit my local health food store if there are alternative suggestions.

I am concerned about this injury being in a sensitive area and wish to return to good health soon.

If there is a proper forum to post this, please inform me. Thank you.
