thoreau has always been one of my favorites. i love that he refused to pay taxes due to protesting hte mexican american war. just imagine if we all did that with this abomination of a war in iraq? he also influence ghandi and MLK with his nonviolent resistence concepts and he foreshadowed the modern environmnetal movement. a real prophet for sure.

i am unfamiliar with e hubbard, i will definitely have to do some reading on him.
