both Primal Defense and LB17 do not need refrigeration. Primal Defense is less expensive. both work, but in my experience LB17 is way better. your mileage may vary. Garden of Life, the company that make Primal Defense, also has some good quality enzymes which i would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is forced to eat an MRE. they also do not require refrigeration. a green powder super food might also be a nice thing for him to have.
