I would say that it depends on the probiotics. True lactobacteria seem unlikely to cause a problem for MOST people. SBOs, on the other hand, appear to be much more controversial. Some people have a problem with even true lactobacteria. In any event, spore forming organisms (which include candida) have no difficulty passing through gastric acid. So, even if you could eradicate candida completely, it's likely that candida would be re-introduced into your gut before long.
