I think the in vivo answer to this is very simple - has anyone tried doing a Liver Flush with JUST the olive oil, and no grapefruit juice?

If so, and "gallstones" still come out, then obviously it was not due to saponification!

Anyone tried this yet? I believe in the old folk Liver-Flush recipes, they didn't include the grapefruit juice?
