Zeolite

A couple of things I've read about Zeolite- maybe Newport can add his 2 cents to this for whether it should be used or not (or what Cutler has to say about it)

Zeolite is a sodium alumino silicate. There is aluminum in the molecule/the structure that makes up the zeolite.

Zeolite is solid by nature. Only two things can destroy it: 1)intense heat, as in a volcano, and 2) pure hydrochloric aicd.
There is nothing in the human body that comes close to these two things, so the structure of zeolite remains in tact, when ingested. No aluminum is leached.
The cage structure of zeolite stays in tact and the cage has a negative charge - it attracts heavy metals which are captured into the cage (or structure).

The liquid zeolite is a different matter. It has been heated so high in the process of making it liquid that the structure is destroyed during that process. So aluminum is released and is available when ingested.

Zeolite differs in different parts of the world. The zeolite in the US has metals in its walls AND the cage. When it is in the walls, then there is a problem with ingesting it, because it can be leached out.
Zeolite need to be sourced properly for safety. Most mines are being used for things such as toxic cleanup and water filtration.
This is why supplement companies have not jumped on the bandwagon to sell zeolite...

The man who developed the zeolite called destroxin took 6 years to test samples from all over the world before marketing it. He made sure the metals were only in the cage, thus ensuring that none of the metals leached out.

There were also some studies done on animals. Zeolite was added to the animal feed, and it was found to increase vitamin absorption.

What happens when there are heavy metals in the body is that the sodium/calcium in the zeolite swaps with the metals. It takes out the metals and leave the Na/Ca.
There has been no evidence in studies done that zeolite depletes minerals.

>>>There are natural and synthetic zeolites. So not all are from volcanic sources. They are used quite a bit in industry. For example to purify gasses and to crack gasoline. The ammonia removers for fresh water aquariums are actually zeolites as well. And one company is selling them under the name "Prill beads" with some ridiculous claims associated with them.

All zeolites are still aluminum silicates. How they react in the body is uncertain. My worry is that the aluminum in the zeolites will react with stomach acid forming aluminum chloride.
