Re: Reaction to a whole cell DPT vaccine at the age of four months.

Hi Kim, wow I had no idea this site even existed, I was actually googled it by chance looking to see if I found another punfortunate parent I met 15 or so years of a child adversly affected by DPT. My story is the somewhat similar but also different. My Andrew now 18 had the whole cell killed Pertussis in the DPT and suffered a seizure 12 or so hours later. Long story short, he is non-verbal, in diapers, and still has intractable seizures. I hope you still check this site, would love to connect with paretns in similar situations as myself. It is frustratin to hear so many expert say the vaccines don't cause these side effect, however the Acellular pertussis, is safer.. kinda contradictory. I am not an antivacciine freak, nor do I have any kind of Conspiracy theory type mentality.... However I do belive if there are children with neuro damage, due to vaccine complications they should try to find how to fix the problem, rahter than pretend it never happened. Just a theory
