Interesting that you should mention this... Today I was just discussing with my husband whether or not I should see this movie. As one who lived with a mother who was a narcissist, also an alcoholic who verbally and emotionally (and sometimes physically) abused us kids, (my father was the perfect enabler), I'm both attracted and repelled by the thought of seeing this movie.

I hear Precious is raped by her own father and ends up having 2 kids with him (shudder!). Even though that's not something I experienced (thank goodness!), I think seeing that would make me angry.
