My son says the locals eat just about every living thing...
One day he was out for dinner with business men and of course, he didn't know what the food was, he was asked if he liked it. He wouldn't allow himself to say how awful it was to him so, very politely he said yes. They immediately served him some more of that "soup pudding"... and I think it is hilarious from knowing my son...lol
