I cant offer advise...but boy do i know how you feel.I have no idea what is wrong with me.I have a doc in NYC that i like alot.He wants me taking albenza,alinia,and sacchramyces boulardii for possible parasite.Also diflucan bc i tested positive for candida +2.I was on flagyl for 4 days and felt terrible,had to stop taking it.2 days after stopping...i got thrush.I'm wondering now if i felt terrible bc it was working...???The doc that did put me on flagyl explained nothing to me,and never talked about die off or that i should be loading up on probiotics.I think the flagyl caused me more problems bc it wasnt used correctly...idk?Parasite infections also cause bacterial overgrowth of the small intestine...that could be part of the problem.There is a test called hydrogen breath test which usually detects SIBO.Im calling around tomorrow to find somewhere that does it as its not generally used by most gastro docs.I want to take a drastic approach with meds to knock it out quicker-im 23 and have 2 very young children and can NOT deal with being sick like this anymore....
