I also had this experience recently!
I've had EC for over a year now, (very bad, total peel on both lips about every day or 2). The peel cycle has never let up until I got my wisdom tooth pulled a couple weeks ago. I was put on Antibiotics (amoxicillin) for a week and I didn't peel AT ALL for 2 weeks. Alas, after the two weeks reprieve, the peeling came back with a vengeance. It's worse then before and painful, too.
