I really envy your lifestyle! Being a environmentalist (but not studying the environment), I would pay ANYTHING to live in such an environment where I can co-exist with nature. I think all humans should abandon their mundane livestyles and live such natural lives. (I live in Hong Kong - a city beautiful on its face but is in fact so crowded that it is nearly impossible to maintain a living in)

Iodine "good" did so because they live in such polluted environment that inevitably the
Iodine reserve in their body is used up (for fighting pathogens and excreting heavy metal) before they knew about it, but people who live in such clean and natural environment are able to maintain an
Iodine reserve because they do not need to fight pathogens and heavy metal. Since the former is the majority, iodine is naturally commonly regarded as "good".
