Excellent article on red clover blossoms.  I am really glad to see that they explained the estrogen antagonizing effect of the phytoestrogens instead of the nonsense phytoestrogens promote cancer due to their estrogenic effects that is so often repeated, especially in the anti-soy propaganda.

Red clover blossoms actually contain more phytoestrogens than soy, which is why red clover blossom has such a long history in cancer treatment.  Note that it is the blossoms and not the whole red clover herb that should be used.

They also mentioned the Hoxsey formula that contains red clover blossom and alfalfa.  The reason for the alfalfa is that alfalfa herb is the highest herbal source of phytoestrogens.  It also happens to be very nutrient rich, sometimes being referred to as "the land version of kelp".  Alfalfa sprouts are not the same as alfalfa herb, and the sprouts can aggravate some autoimmune conditions due to the high level of canavanine.
