Re: Hey Snobetty
Have you been on an SSRI already?
Please don't be so concerned about NOT tring an SSRI though.
Zoloft did work wonders for me for 5-6 years and something may work very well for you. I'm not against SSRIs.
After my hysterectomy in 2001 hormnone replacement and Zoloft saved my life.
It just stopped working after about 5 years and than made me worse.
And I did try Valium for a week and worked well, but I developed a tolerance and side effects to it if I took it more than a few days in a row. Others it did not effect them this way. My mom too Zanox for a few weeks when my dad died and she than tapered off it slowly and did just fine.
If you have to and find the prescription sedatives work, by all means take them. But, I just would not become relilant on the for a long time and they have to be weaned off too, when the time come. I've just personally switched to the natural sedatives as my body more readily agrees with this.
So sorry for you. I know how bad that anxiety is. I will be praying for you.
Paulette
