Re: Claims that Lugol's is poisonous

Also, I noticed that in the comments of the article, those who had problems had started out with a high dosage, or continued at a high dosage after they started feeling unwell. I started out with 3-5 drops of 5% per day, and had horrible headaches. I cut back to 1 drop a day and was fine. I tried two drops today, and got a slight headache, so I'm going back to one drop. Evidently, I am very sensitive to iodine, but that's o.k. Painting it on my throat is still shrinking my goiter, so I'll continue with that, even if I can't take it internally.

I took kelp once for six months and had no improvement in my energy or goiter at all. I can only go on my own experience.

I do think that some people take too much. I think slow detox is better than being in pain and having zits all over your body for years. I'd rather go very slowly, but some people aren't like that and are willing to stand the pain in hopes of getting better.

IMHO, if the thing you are taking to get better is making you sick, that's a sign you need to stop taking it. What is it they say? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?
