Ok, so it's not about having very thick layers of it on your lips. I'm not using Vaseline though. Not entirely sure if Un-petroleum jelly is as good a barrier as Vaseline, but I'll keep using that for now. It's very easy to apply. But it is more of an oily jelly, although it does contain some bees wax. If I don't see (more) results in the next few months, I might start using Vaseline. Aquaphor had a very bad texture to my taste (I think you mentioned the other day that when your lips touched, e.g. the upper lip would "pick up" the Aquaphor on the bottom lip.. that would happen to me as well, and that way it would also rip of build up. Much better with the jelly).
