Re: Another treatment approach to fasciola hepatica and gigantica, Fasciolopsis excluded..

Hi,
Well, I had something develop in my arm. Two cysts about 1/4 inch away from each other. One was 1.2 cm in length and the other .8 cm in length. Clearly visible on an ultrasound. As far as the doctor could tell there wasn't any blood inside it, simply a capsule, very firm. Attached to both the cysts was a worm of sometype. I unsuccessfully tried to have it removed. I spoke to a surgeon in Tijuana about having the mass removed and she said it was not inside a nearby vein. Otherwise it would have been indicated. I accidently ruptured the cyst trying to decipher if it was in the vein or not. After I ruptured that one being stupid I just ruptured the other one. Then later decided to have a small surgery to remove the long slender mass near my vein. The doctor could feel the mass and agreed to the small procedure. Inevitably, she couldn't find anything and said that the vein was extremely hard. Which I take it as the worm was in the vein all along. I don't know. It's still there somewhat. When I pinch it I believe the Ascaris starts to move within my back. When I did decide to take the praziquantel I took the dose for Usual Pediatric Dose for Cysticercosis of the taenia solium tapeworm.

50 mg/kg/day orally in 3 divided doses for 15 days.

Two weeks later I believe I began mebendazole and took 7 days of the dosage Trichinosis.
200 to 400 mg orally three times a day for 3 days and then increase for another 10 days. I stopped around day 6-7 not thinking I should go on.

I ran a test for a cysticerosis antibody which came back negative. That is really a scary thing to even think one has. Cysts developing in the brain. I don't have any neurological problems. I have taken decaris in the past and that effects the acetylcholine. I'm not sure how, but I know I need that and don't like taking that one either. I'd rather not take any more medication period. But, I need to develop a plan to treat the Ascaris and deal with the liver flukes that will be coming of age in the next couple of weeks. I guess it will be daxon and the Chinese herbs. I am somewhat intrigued that the praziquantel worked for the fasciola species. I think that may mean it's the fasciola buski type, or maybe not. I never got a reaction from the praziquantel for the flukes but the decaris killed a substantial amount of parasites. Which as I mentioned before I think were sometype of fluke.
