You can take Albedazole for 400 mg twice a day for 20 days for some infections as long as you monitor liver functions. Sometimes even the doctors prescribe it this long for certain infections. The one or two days they usually prescribe does nothing. It takes time for parasites to starve to death and if you aren't taking the drug long enough they are able to get nutrition and survive eventually developing immunity to it. So you may damage your liver, which is able to heal itself or the parasites will damage you liver for sure. It's a no win situation.
