As with many, you miss the point.

Beliefs can "effect" a person, when a fertile female receives my seed, for example.

This is far different than how a belief can affect another person.

Typically for the latter, one person's beliefs do not affect other persons, unless the other person succumbs their mind to the effects of such belief. I'd expound, but, why bother ?

All I did was express an opinion on a debate forum that's littered with idiots who don't know what the word "debate" means, and believe me, my posting is quite worthy of debate, it is something that can actually be debated.

I should of course not expect any real debate, rather, only to observe others let the topic I propose for debate, affect them. I smile, because, 'Tis their choice :)
